Description:
Bicine is one of Good’s selected buffers. It is used as a buffering agent and has a pKa of 8.35 at 20ºC .  It is also a general purpose buffer for biological research.  The useful pH range is 7.6 - 9.0 for this buffer. The biological applications that use Bicine are tissue culture, phosphorylation, protein synthesis and preventing the binding to non-receptor materials.
